Agrifriend Group consists of 3 shareholders, Jannie Louw, Hennie Gous and Africum, all of them having a significant history in the agricultural sector.
The company M&V Tractors and Implements, known as ROVIC LEERS KIMBERLEY was acquired from Mike Louw in August 2012 after he had managed and attained it for 30 years.
During May 2013 Agrifriend obtained the Rovic Leers, Landini and McCormick agencies in Cradock and Humansdorp (Eastern Cape). These were acquired from Gerrit Potgieter whom too managed the company for 29 years.
This was the start of a bigger, better Agrifriend as the company continued to expand adding more branches in different districts to provide utmost client service: Douglas, Prieska and Hartswater (Northern Cape).
As the market was mainly supplied and serviced with Krone, Kuhn, Seko, Flory Pecan nut machinery and all the well-known Rovic Leers products, the Case tractor brand was added to the recipe during 2016.
These products amongst so many others for example Monosem, Duncan Planters & Robinson Hoppers (imported from New Zealand) are being sold and operated from Agrifriend Equipment. All of this has contributed to the company obtaining a vast knowledge and experience, with an established clientele base. And finally, introducing the 2 subsidiaries and an affiliate co; Agrifriend Technology, Agrifriend Namibia and Kimech Agri Tractors and Machinery.
Agrifriend Technology focuses on precision farming equipment (e.g. Trimble GPS’s), solar and renewable energy equipment, fencing and security as well as telecommunication equipment in the field of agriculture.
Agrifriend Namibia distributes the agricultural implements in Namibia.
Kimech Agri Tractors and Machinery is a level 4 BBEEE company distributing agricultural implements and rendering assistance with training and development in the agricultural and industrial sector.
